Our 240V Home Energy Systems can be used standalone (no electric vehicle required) or as paired with one of our EV Extend wiring kits for extended operation using your EV battery's stored energy. These backup power systems provides a larger, 120V/240V split phase inverter that can be used to directly power a larger portion of your home's electrical wiring during frequent or major power outages. These can replace the need for a large backup generator for a home, without all the pollution and maintenance required from a typical combustion based generator. And unlike a generator, these systems can even act as an uninterruptible power supply! Combined with an included battery bank sized to your needs, these solutions provide up to 12,000 W of continuous power to a sub-panel/transfer panel of your home's electrical wiring. During extended outages, the energy system's battery bank can optionally be kept charged using an your EV with one of our inverter kits and a separate auxiliary battery charge controller (select when ordering), leveraging the fact that average power needs are less likely to exceed the power rating that our EV inverter kits (and your vehicle) can provide.
